The INTUITION 2007 Workshop & Conference on Virtual Reality and Virtual Environments will be held under the umbrella of the INTUITION Network of Excellence in Virtual Reality and Virtual Environments for Future Workspaces (www.intuition-eunetwork.net), a network of 60 partners across Europe. INTUITION 2007 follows on from the three very successful workshops held in Athens 2004, Paris 2005, and Stuttgart 2006. This year, the conference will include an open call for papers, tutorials, and posters, as well as exhibitions from industrial partners and research projects in the wider area of Virtual Reality and Virtual Environments. The conference will also feature three keynote speeches by highly recognized researchers in the field of VR worldwide.
You are invited to submit your papers, posters, projects, and proposals for tutorials under conference themes which include, but are not limited to:
Conference Themes
Display Technologies
Tracking
Haptic Interfaces
Mobile VR systems
User interfaces & interaction methodologies
Modeling and Simulation
Presence research
Evaluation, Human Factors, and Usability issues
Authoring Tools
Augmented and Mixed Reality
Virtual Humans
Virtual Reality Applications in fields, such as
- Education & Training
- Medicine
- Architecture & Urban Planning
Submission information
Submissions of 2-page Extended Abstracts will be on-line at www.intuition2007.org, in PDF format only. Information about the submission procedure and formatting instructions is available online at www.intuition2007.org . Accepted submissions (full papers and posters) will be presented at the conference and published in the conference proceedings. A selection of the best papers will be considered for publication in a special issue of the Visual Computer Journal.
Tutorials will be half day in length and will be held on October 3, 2007. If you wish to submit a proposal for a Tutorial, please contact the Tutorials Chair directly (Matthaios Bimbas <mbibas at esd.ece.ntua.gr>).
