CALL FOR PhD APPLICATIONS


A full-time PhD position is available at the University of
Athens, Greece, under the supervision of Ioannis Emiris,
within the framework of Marie-Curie Network SAGA:
ShApes, Geometry, and Algebra.

General Topic:
Algebraic and geometric algorithms and software tools
for Computer-Aided Design and geometric modeling.

In particular:
- Sparse approximate implicitization of parametric surfaces.
- Algebraic tools, such as resultant algorithms and real solving,
for geometric constructions.


Start date within the academic year 2008-09.
Net salary of about 1770 Euro / month.
